Ingredients

1/2 cupapplesauce
1/2 cupwhite sugar
1/4 cupbrown sugar
1 tspvanilla
1egg
1 1/4 cupoatmeal
1 cupwhole wheat flour
1/2 tspbaking soda
1/2 tspsalt
1/2 tspcinnamon
1/4 tspnutmeg
1/2 cupraisins or craisins
1/4 cupchopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Beat first 5 ingredients together in a large bowl .

Add oatmeal, whole wheat flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Stir in nuts and raisins.

Drop by spoon fulls onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 2 and a half dozen.
