Ingredients

  • 2 cupsaffola plain oats
  • 1 cupsemolina
  • 1 cupcurd
  • 3/4eno sachet
  • to tastesalt
  • 1onion (white) chopped
  • 1green chili chopped
  • 1 tea spoonwhite lentil soaked for 1 hour
  • 1/2 tea spoonmustard seeds
  • 4-5small curry leaves
  • 1 tbsprefined oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Grind the oats into powder.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, white lentil,onions and green chili and saute till the onions become transparent

  3. 3

    Add semolina and roast till it gives nice aroma then add oats powder and roast for 4-5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add eno powder, pour some water on eno and mix well.

  5. 5

    Now pour the batter in greased idly stand and steam the idly for 10 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve with coconut chutney. A very healthy and tasty breakfast.

  7. 7

    Now add curd,salt and water and make a fine batter.
