Cooking Instructions
- 1
is better to use rice previously made or you can make it fresh too (i've eaten it both ways and is great; in my opinion better with fresh but it could be too sticky for some).
- 2
i seasoned the ground beef the day before as follows: i put in blender diced carrots, zuchini, minced garlic, one small diced tomato and one red peeled and chopped apple) blend everything together and add the resulting puree on the ground beef. Mix with soy sauce, powdered onion, a pinch of salt). *the apple balance the salt and adds a nice sweetness in a healthy way*. When you are going to make your bibimbap you just heat a frying pan or wok with sesame oil and cook until brown.. it will be juicy and smeel so good.
- 3
Fry each egg on a frying pan individually or together (if big enough) making sure they are all divided. Its not necessary to beat them (no salt or pepper needed). Then sautee your zuchini and carrots with a couple minced garlic cloves. Add the mushrooms and any other veggies u may like.
- 4
Serving directions: Serve white rice on each bowl or plate, then add a portion of your sauteed veggies, a touch of sesame oil, a tsp of gochujan or to taste (depending how spicy you want it). Top it with one egg, and a portion of ground beef. Mix it well until its all combined and the gochujan paste has turn your dish into a vibrant sexy red.

Bibimbap Noodles With Vegetable Namul and All-Purpose Korean Sauce Bibimbap Noodles With Vegetable Namul and All-Purpose Korean Sauce
I attempted to make a salty-sweet and sour sauce...and came up with this seasoning. The ingredient amounts are easy to remember; the sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, and ground sesame seeds amounts are all the same. Since you can store it in the refrigerator, not only can you use it with cold noodles, you can add it to other ingredients as-is or saute it for various Korean type dishes. I topped this dish with lots of vegetables and changed the rice to cold noodles.Since the bean sprouts contain a lot of moisture, if you coat the ingredients with sesame oil first, they won't get too mushy. The namul can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days, so I made a larger amount without wasting ingredients. I used moderately sweet gochujang "Haechandle," as shown in the photo in Step 1. Bibimbap with Bulgogi Beef Bibimbap with Bulgogi Beef
Every time I would order this amazing Korean rice bowl I was always amazed by how every item is perfectly cooked and plated and separated. So I had tried to make this amazing dish at home with a gochujang sauce. After a few tweaks and adjustments I think I have gotten something very close to restaurant quality. It seems like a lot of steps and ingredients but its more chopping and slicing than anything else. Spice Mix -

Sweet, Salty, and Sour Bibimbap Soumen Noodles Sweet, Salty, and Sour Bibimbap Soumen Noodles
I wanted to try to make bibimbap noodles with cold noodles, so I tried making it with soumen. You can eat this for a lunch alone or when on a diet.Thoroughly cool the soumen. If you don't drain it well, it will become watery. You can adjust the amount of kimchi to taste. If you want to have something a little more filling, you can add some thinly sliced yakiniku or roast pork or other meat. Rolled Bibimbap with Beef Rolled Bibimbap with Beef
I thought that making "bibimbap" into "bibimbars" would be funny, so I gave it a shot. I tried to make bar-shaped ones but because of the widths of the beef, they kind of ended up as "bibimballs."I thought it would be good to make these during Golden Week (a week long Japanese spring holiday). They may also be good for dinner parties, because they're good even when they're cold, and if you wrap them with lettuce your hands won't get dirty when you eat them.I wanted them to go with my favorite beer, so the rice is seasoned lightly, with just the flavor from the namuls, while the beef is seasoned heavily with the bulgogi sauce. If you buy assorted namuls it will be much easier. But namuls are easy to make, so why not try it if you have time? You can change the seasonings for the namuls to your liking. You can use the same seasonings for bean sprouts, carrot and spinach as well.Sliced beef from a beef round is easy to use. When I tried sliced shoulder, it was not as easy. Try to get something like thinly sliced shabu-shabu beef. If you mince the namuls before mixing them with rice, it will make it easier for your children to eat. For 4 servings (making 12). Homemade Gochujang for Bibimbap Homemade Gochujang for Bibimbap
Gochujang is originally a fermented miso using koji and chilli, similar to Japanese miso. If you try to make it from scratch, it will take a lot of time and labour. When she used to run a shop, my late grandmother asked a Korean BBQ restaurant owner to give her their recipe for gochujang. I changed it to suit my taste. This is my own recipe, so adjust the amount of the ingredients to taste. You can store this in the fridge for a long time. When you have time, make it in batches. By adding a little gochujang to stews, braised fish, and dressings, you can easily enjoy a Korean flavour in your dishes. Recipe by Heartful Kitchen Rei cookpad.japan -
Bibimbap in a Frying Pan Bibimbap in a Frying Pan
I wanted to eat bibimbap at home, so I made this with extra care given to its color presentation.I don't have particular tips, but by using a light fruit juice such as pear juice (but not a citrus or milk-based juice) instead of water to make the bibimbap sauce, you can make the sauce little less spicy. The teriyaki chicken with doubanjiang goes really well with this! Using these amounts, if you divide them into 2 batches, and make 1 batch at a time, you can eat piping hot bibimbap! Stone Bowl Bibimbap Made in a Nambu Tekki Iron Pot Stone Bowl Bibimbap Made in a Nambu Tekki Iron Pot
I've avoided using stone pots because of the care they require and the danger of breakage. I thought there must be a way to make Bibimbap with crisp brown rice on the bottom, using an iron pan! Le Creuset and Staub are good, but "Za Tetsu" from Iwate is a good Nambu Tekki Iron pot. The iron you absorb by using it is also good for you. I made a delicious lunch with this cast iron pot I had on hand. For those of you who find that this made with only vegetable namul leaves something to be desired, add some meat that's been marinated in yakiniku sauce and fried. I've included "Cho (vinegar) Gochujang" in the recipe for tricolored namul. You can spoon on as much of this as you like when you eat it, to make it spicier. Recipe by kebeibiko cookpad.japan
