Pelalu / Parched Grain/Fried paddy Laddu

Heat a pan. Pour 1 cup of water to it. Then add grated jaggery.

Stir it well, till the jaggery syrup attains a string like consistency.

In the meanwhile,heat another pan. Fry the coconut slices in ghee until they turn light brown.

Now add parched grain/ pelalu, black pepper powder, fried coconut slices to the jaggery syrup.Mix well.Switch off the flame.

Transfer this mixture into a plate. Make round sized balls/laddus out of it.

These laddus can be stored for two or three wees when kept in an airtight container.
