Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupblack gram
  2. 1/ 2 cup sprouted moong
  3. 2boiled (peeled and mashed) potatoes
  4. 1 cupbread crumb
  5. 1 small piece chopped ginger
  6. 1 small chopped onion
  7. 2-3green chillies
  8. 1black cardamon
  9. 2green cardamon
  10. 1small piece cinnamon
  11. 4cloves
  12. 4-5black pepper corns
  13. 1 tbspchopped coriander leaves
  14. 5-6 clovesgarlic
  15. as per tastesalt
  16. 1 tspred chilli powder
  17. 1 tspCumin powder
  18. 1 tspChaat masala
  19. 1 tspasafoetida
  20. as neededOil for shallow frying
  21. 1 tbspmaida
  22. 1 tbspcornflour
  23. 4-5 tbspwater

Steps

    Make sprout of moong by soaking overnight

  2. 2

    There after drain the water

  3. 3

    Tie in a cloth and hang in an airy place for 2 days

  4. 4

    Soak black gram overnight

  5. 5

    Boil black gram and sprouted moong (green gram) with 1 glass water in a pressure cooker along with Salt,both cardamom seeds,cinnamon,cloves, asafoetida garlic,ginger,black pepper corn for 3-4 whistles on medium heat

  6. 6

    Let it cool, drain the water

  7. 7

    Then grind it without any water

  8. 8

    In a large mixing bowl take this paste

  9. 9

    Add potatoes, half cup bread crumbs

  10. 10

    Red chilli powder,coriander leaves, chaat masala and cumin powder

  11. 11

    Mix well

  12. 12

    Make patties and keep in a refrigirator for10-15 minutes

  13. 13

    In a bowl make slurry with maida cornflour and water

  14. 14

    Dip the patties in the slurry

  15. 15

    Coat with remaining bread crumbs

  16. 16

    Shallow fry in a non stick pan till brown in both sides

  17. 17

    Enjoy with tea and any chutney
