Ingredients

30 minutes
6-8 servings
  • 2-3 lbpork shoulder
  • 1/4 cupbrown sugar
  • 1 Tbspchili powder
  • 1 tsponion powder
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 tspcayenne pepper
  • 1 tspblack pepper
  • 1medium red onion, quartered
  • 1/4 cupketchup
  • 1/4 cupmustard
  • 1/2medium onion, diced
  • 2 cupsshredded Mexican cheese
  • BBQ sauce
  • Tortilla chips
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Salsa
  • Guacamole

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Add pork, onion, and seasonings to 6-quart slow cooker. Coat meat in seasonings. Add the ketchup and mustard and spread evenly to cover the meat.

    Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

  3. 3

    Remove meat and shred.

  4. 4

    Preheat oven to 400˚F.

  5. 5

    Layer chips, pork, onion, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, and cheese in a baking pan.

  6. 6

    Bake for 8-10 minutes. Serve with salsa and guacamole.
