In a saucepan combine the apple juice , red Wine and water then add the cinnamon stick and bring to boil now reduce to simmer .

peel the pears and arrange the pears in the simmering liquid and cover with baking paper , to ensure all cook evenly , cook for 15-20 minutes until cooked and tender but not mushy , remove from the liquid and place on serving plates .

add the sugar to the simmering liquid and simmer till reduced by half , then spoon sauce evenly over the plated pears and serve with yogurt . enjoy . :-) .
