Ingredients

  1. 3 eachHashbrowns Patties
  2. 1Sweet Plantain
  3. 1 1/2 cupCooked Ground Meat (recipe on my profile)
  4. 3/4 cupShredded Cheddar Cheese
  5. 3/4 cupShredded Mozzarella Cheese
  6. 1 largeEgg
  7. 1 tbspGarlic Powder
  8. 1/2 tbspOnion Powder
  9. 1 tbspBacon Drippings (can substitute with olive oil)

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    In a pan, heat the hashbrown patties and mash them.

  3. 3

    Add the garlic, onion and drippings. Mix well and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes in medium heat.

    Grease a meatloaf pan.

  5. 5

    Add the hashbrown to the bottom of the pan.

  6. 6

    Add 1/4 cup of both cheeses over the hashbrowns.

  7. 7

    Add the ground meat over the cheese.

  8. 8

    Peel and cut the plantain horizontally, so you get plantain strips.

    Add 1/4 cup of both cheeses over the meat.

    Place the plantain over the cheese.

    Beat the egg and pour it evenly over the plantain.

    Add the remaining cheese.

    Bake in the oven at 350° until golden.

    Serve and enjoy!
