Ingredients

4 servings
  • 3/4 cupmayonnaise
  • 2 tbspketchup
  • 2 tbspdijon mustard
  • 1 cupdiced Swiss cheese
  • 1 lbfrankfurters (or any other kind of sausage)
  • 4hard cooked eggs, sliced
  • 1/2 cupchopped dill pickles
  • 1/2 cupsliced celery
  • 1 1/2 cupsliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4to 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 headlettuce, rinsed and torn apart

Steps

  1. 1

    In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.

  2. 2

    If made ahead, cover and refrigerate until the next day.

  3. 3

    Arrange meat on cooking grate.

  4. 4

    Place lid on grill.

  5. 5

    Cook, turning once halfway through cooking time, until meat is browned and hot throughout (2 to 4 minutes).

  6. 6

    Slice sausages diagonally 3/4 inch thick.

  7. 7

    On a platter, arrange lettuce, cheese, eggs, pickles, celery, tomatoes, and onion in 7 separate rows.

  8. 8

    Serve with mayonnaise mixture.

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
