If you can tolerate tomatoes by all means use 2 tins of chopped tomatoes with a dash of sugar and lemon juice or a big jar of your favourite bolognese sauce instead of my 'tomato-free sauce'. One of the easiest things about going gluten free is just swapping the dried pasta thankfully as we eat lots of pasta dishes! I use pork as my son is allergic to beef but you can use minced beef and beef stock if you prefer

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 tbspoil
  2. 750 gramsminced pork
  3. 1large onion, chopped
  4. 6large mushrooms, finely chopped
  5. 1 1/2 tsporegano
  6. 1 1/2 tspdried basil
  7. 1 tbspVickys Gluten-Free Worcestershire Sauce, recipe link below
  8. 1 tbspminced garlic
  9. 150 mlhot ham stock
  10. 750 gramsVickys Tomato-Free Tomato Sauce, recipe link below
  11. 400 gramsgluten-free pasta fusilli or spaghetti

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Heat the oil in a pan and fry off the mince until it's evenly browned

  2. 2

Add the onion and cook through, then pour off the juices from the pan

  3. 3
  4. 4

Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil. Add the pasta stirring continuously so it doesn't stick together. Cook for around 8-10 minutes or follow the pack instructions. When you can throw a piece at your kitchen cupboard and it sticks, it's done!

  5. 5

Drain the pasta and stir it through the bolognese

  6. 6

Serve with a nice gluten-free garlic bread or dinner roll. I have a free-from garlic bread posted

  7. 7

You can obviously use wheat pasta, regular pasta sauce & worchestershire if preferred
