Flatten your hamburger in a 8x10 casserole dish or 9x13 if you prefer a thinner layer of meat. Sprinkle garlic salt and pepper over meat, then put your diced onion and bell pepper over the hamburger

Dice your potatoes into 1/2 or 1 inch cubes. Evenly spread over hamburger. Sprinkle with dash of salt. Cover tightly with tin foil.

Bake at 400°F for 90 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain off any grease. I cut a small slit in the corner and drain. Keeps from losing potatoes. Cover entire casserole with sliced cheese. Let cheese melt in the warm.oven, then serve.
