Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 450°F. Oil a baking sheet.
- 2
Roll out pizza dough and stretch to fit onto the baking sheet.
- 3
Chop the seeded and cored tomatoes, then hand crush them in a bowl. Add spices and salt.
- 4
Brush pizza dough with olive oil and spread tomatoes on the dough, leaving a 1-2 inch birder for a crust.
- 5
Place pizza on middle rack of the oven and bake for approximately 12 minutes.
- 6
Remove pizza from oven, and top with meat. Put tray back in the oven, rotated 180°. Bake for an additional 12 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
- 7
Remove pizza from oven and sprinkle cheese on top. Place back in the oven at broil (550°F) for 2 minutes, or until cheese melts.
- 8
Remove from oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Add arugula and drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette. Slice and serve.
