Ingredients

  • 1bundle asparagus; trimmed & halved
  • 1yellow onion; large dice
  • 3/4 cupbalsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cupfeta cheese crumbles
  • 1 tspwhite pepper
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1large pinch sugar
  • 1kosher salt; to taste
  • 1olive oil; as needed

  1. 1

    Sweat onions in a large saute pan. Add a tiny pinch of salt.

  2. 2

    After 2 minutes add asparagus and continue to sweat. Add oil if needed. Season.

  3. 3

    When asparagus is 90% cooked add vinegar and sugar. Toss. Reduce til nearly dry. Toss with feta.
