I've been given a load of plums so trying to adapt other recipes I know to come up with something tasty

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 2 tbspgolden syrup/light corn syrup
  2. 1 1/2 cupplums (or apricots, peaches, nectarines etc)
  3. 150 gramsself raising flour
  4. 75 gramsfresh breadcrumbs
  5. 90 gramslight muskovado sugar
  6. 5 gramsground cinnamon
  7. 30 mlvegetable oil plus extra for greasing the dish
  8. 175 mlmilk

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°c/350°f

    Using a 1.5 litre dish, lightly oil it and pour the syrup into the bottom

  3. 3

    Place the fruit skin side down in the bowl

  4. 4

    Mix all other ingredients in a separate bowl until fully combined

  5. 5

    Pour batter on top of the fruit and place into the oven

  6. 6

    Bake for 50 - 55 mins until pricking it with a skewer and it comes out clean

  7. 7

    While still hot place a plate on top, large enough to cover the bowl, and using tea towel or oven gloves to hold the plate in place flip it over

  8. 8

    Carefully remove the bowl. Slice up and serve while still warm with icecream or custard
