Ingredients

9 servings
  • 8 lbyellow squash
  • 1 1/2 tsppink Himalayan salt
  • 1 stickmargarine
  • 2/3 largechopped onion
  • 1/4 lbbacon chopped
  • 1/4 cupvegetable oil
  • 1 tspgranulated garlic powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash the squash

    A picture of step 1 of My mom's Fried squash.
  2. 2

    Slice the squash. Heat a large pan melt the margarine very hot add bacon , onions, and squash. Fry till no more liquids, you may have to drain takes about 30 minutes. Then add vegetable oil.salt and add garlic.

  3. 3

    Fry till caramelized. Serve hope you enjoy!
