Steps

Wash the pieces of fish properly and add salt and Haldi powder and leave for few minutes.

Add oil in the kadai and fry the fish from both sides.

Make a smooth paste of onion, ginger, garlic and 2green chillies.

Whip the yoghurt with one cup of water.

In another kadai add four tablespoons of oil and let it heat.

Add tejpatta and the whole garam masala. When it splutter add the onion paste and fry in low flame.

Add red chilli powder, haldi powder, sugar, salt. When the masala starts leaving oil add the yoghurt and stir continuously.

When it starts boiling add the fish pieces and green chilli. Let it cook for 5 minutes from both side. Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.

The dish is ready to serve with steamed rice.
