Ingredients

  1. 4 cupPuffed rice/Murmura
  2. 1 cupPeanuts
  3. 1/2 cupCashew Nuts
  4. 1/2 cupmakhana
  5. 4 tbspOil
  6. 10-12Curry leaves –
  7. 1 pinchAsafoetida
  8. 1 tspmustard seeds
  9. 1 tsp Salt – more than or to taste
  10. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  11. 1/2 tspDry mango powder
  12. 20 or ½ tspBlack peppercorns – powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the 1 tsp oil in a deep non-stick pan, add the peanuts,Cashew Nuts,makhana and saute on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes keep a side.

    Heat oil add the mustard seeds and saute on a medium flame for a few seconds.Add curry leaves and asafoetida and saute on a medium flame for 3 minutes.Add the turmeric powder and salt, Red chilli powder,Dry mango powder mix well and saute on a medium flame for a few seconds.

    Add the murmura and fried nuts mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

    Cool completely and store in an air-tight container.
