Kheer is a traditional dish which is made for special occasions and festivals and even during fasts. It is made across all the regions of India.
In this recipe the soaked sago are cooked in cardamom flavoured, sweetened milk and combined with custard apple pulp to give it a new dimension.
Delicious and healthy kheer made without ghee.

Steps

Boil milk in a deep pan and add soaked sago and mix well.

Cook on a low flame till sago is completely cooked and translucent and
the kheer thickens. - 3
Add green cardamom powder, saffron, sugar and mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Allow it to cool to room temperature.

Add the custard apple pulp and half quantity of chopped almonds, pistachios and cashews and mix.

Garnish with rest of the dry fruits and serve chilled.
