Ingredients

  • 8 piecesPav/ breads -
  • 2 tablespoonOil/ tel -
  • 1 cupChopped capsicums/ simla mirch -
  • 1 cupChopped onions/ pyaz -
  • 1/2 cupBoiled mashed potatoes/ aloo -
  • 2 cupChopped tomatoes/ tamatar -
  • 4 tablespoonButter/ makkhan -
  • 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric/ haldi powder -
  • 2Chopped green chili/ hari mirch -
  • 1 tablespoonPav bhaji masala -
  • Chopped coriander leaves/ dhaniya patta for garnish
  • to tasteSalt/ namak
  • 1 cupWater/ pani -

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and add chopped onions. Saute for 4-5 minutes. Add tomatoes, capsicums and saute for 8-10 minutes. Allow it to cool down and grind with green chilies and potatoes.

    Heat a pan, add butter, turmeric and above ground mixture. Add water, salt and pav bhaji masala.

  3. 3

    Cook for 5 minutes and then sprinkle freshly chopped coriander and switch off the flame.

  4. 4

    Heat a tava and shallow fry pavs with butter.

  5. 5

    Delicious 'Pav Bhaji' is ready to be served!!!
