Wash and rinse urad daal for 3-4times

Soak it in water for 4-5 hours

Drain and add urad Dall in a grinder

Add chopped green chilli ginger cumin seeds and asafoetida.

Stir it for couple of minutes

This makes the batter light and fluffy

Stir and keep aside

Heat kadai with oil for frying vadas

Add spoonful of batter in oil

Vadas should be crisp and golden

Take water in a bowl.siak vadas for Few minutes

Take each vada flatten them.

Place them on serving plate

Ampour mashed curd over it

Add tamarind chutney,salt, powdered cumin- fenugreek powder,red chilli powder,Chaat masala and black salt

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
