Ingredients

6-7 servings
  • 1 tsptumeric
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1& ½ cup of red lentils
  • 1/4 tsppanch phoron
  • 3garlic cloves Sliced
  • 1onion sliced
  • 1tomato chopped
  • 4-5curry leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash Lentils. In a medium sized pot boil Lentils, tumeric and salt.

    Blend with a stick blender till smooth and leave a side.

  3. 3

    Heat 2tsp of oil in a medium sized pot add the panch phoron and stir till fragrant.

  4. 4

    Add curry leaves,garlic, onion and tomatoes. (Stir in each ingredient 1 at a time 30 seconds apart)

    Add the lentils and simmer for 10-15 minutes
