Traditionally zarda is made with rice, Ghee, dry fruits & sugar. But I have made zarda using jaggery instead of sugar.

Traditionally zarda is made with rice, Ghee, dry fruits & sugar. But I have made zarda using jaggery instead of sugar.
Steps

Assemble all ingredients.

Heat ghee in a pan. Add cardamom, cloves, chopped dry fruits & coconut. Saute all until light brown.

Add cooked rice, grated jaggery and saffron colour. Stir all properly.

Once jaggery mixed properly in rice and pulav separate ghee then turn off flame.

Serve hot tasty & yummy 😋 zarda.
