A delicious taste in relatively short time. The aroma from the oven says you're in for a treat.
Steps

Mix sugar, butter and eggs in a bowl until all ingredients have dissolved into a smooth light paste.

Mix in the lime peel, flour and baking powder until the dry ingredients dissolve.

Add the lemon juice and essence until the batter obtains a smooth even texture.
- 4
Remove the peel and place the batter in a non-stick / greased cake pan.
- 5
Bake at 350º for the first 30 mins then decrease the temperature to 330º until the side/s of the cake shrinks, detaching from the pan.
