3/4 cupsoftened butter
1 cuppacked brown sugar
1egg
3/4 cupmolasses
4 cupflour
3/4 tspcloves
1/4 tspsalt
1 canvanilla frosting

Cream butter and sugar

Add egg and beat well

Mix dry ingredients

And gradually to creamed mixture

Cover and refrigerate until dough is manageable

Roll dough 1/8 inch thick

Cut and bake on ungreased sheet

Bake@ 350, 8 - 10 minutes
