Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 cupflour
  • 2 1/2 cupsugar
  • 3/4 cupbutter
  • 3eggs
  • 2 tspbaking soda
  • 1 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tspnutmeg
  • 1/2 tspcinnamon
  • 5 cuppeeled, cored, and diced apples
  • 1 1/2 cupraisins (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. 2

    Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time.

  3. 3

    Sift and incorporate dry ingredients.

  4. 4

    Add half the apples and beat 30 seconds or so.

  5. 5

    Add remaining apples and raisins and Stir in by hand.

  6. 6

    Pour into a greased tube or loaf pan and bake approximately 1hr15mins or until a tester comes out clean.
