Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F
- 2
Line baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- 3
In a very large skillet place oil and garlic. Heat until hot.
- 4
Toss in bread cubes, toss around to coat.
- 5
Saute cubes about 3-5 minutes tossing frequently until lightly browned.
- 6
Place cubes in a single layer onto prepared baking sheet.
- 7
Bake 25-30 minutes tossing cubes every 5 minutes or so until cubes are to desired crispness. ( my bread wasn't stale so mine took longer.) Time may vary depending on size of your bread cubes.
- 8
Let cool completely and serve or store in an airtight container.
- 9
Enjoy!
- 10
Makes about 4 cups dried cubes.

The bread absorbs the olive oil, so it's best to drizzle it on the bread little by little as you mix it with the seasoning. That's why I wrote +1 tablespoon + 1 tablespoon. Croutons made in the oven! Done in 15 minutes! Please watch your time, since the croutons will burn quickly after they've been mixed with olive oil. Scatter the dried parsley to finish. If you scatter them before baking, it's likely that they will burn. You will also use the bread crust. Leftover crusts from making sandwiches are great to make croutons!
