Ingredients

  1. 1 can12 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  2. 1 canBruce's yams. The big can not the little one.
  3. 1pie crust. Any kind you like. Just make sure it's a 9" crust.
  4. 2 tbsppumpkin pie spice.

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. 2

    Open and drain your yams. Pour into a blender. Shake up and add your condensed milk, the WHOLE can. Add your pie spice.

  3. 3

    Blend on High until mixture is completely smooth, takes between 1-3 minutes depending on blender.

  4. 4

    Pour into a 9" pie crust and bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. This can vary depending on your OVEN. If you have gas it's probably only going to take about 30 minutes. If you have an ELECTRIC oven it can take 45-60 minutes so keep an eye on it.

  5. 5

    Hint: baking this on the top or middle rack will keep you from having a burnt crust with raw sweet potato. Sweet potatoes take longer to cook than pumpkin filling because they are a denser vegetable.
