Ingredients

  • 1 loaffrench bread
  • 1 stickbutter or margarine
  • 1 tbspdried basil
  • 1 tbspItalian seasoning mix (any brand)
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1/2 tspgarlic salt
  • 3 tbspolive oil, extra virgin

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut bread into cubes (size is personal preference. Mine were about an inch or less)

  2. 2

    Put all the other ingredients in a microwave safe container and microwave 1 minute. Let sit for a minute or two for dried seasonings to bloom.

  3. 3

    Preheat oven at 350°. Line baking sheet with foil. Put cubed bread in large mixing bowl and while stirring slowly pour butter/olive oil mix over it to coat but not drench bread cubes.

  4. 4

    Put single layer bread cubes on baking sheet and bake 15 minutes. Turn oven off and wait 5-10 minutes then remove to cool.

    When cooled place in airtight container. I used gallon sized zip lock bag.
