Rinse the chickpeas, add fresh water, and cook until fully tender.

Once cooked, drain the chickpeas and place them in a blender. Blend well, adding a little cold water if needed to reach a smooth consistency.

Transfer the blended chickpeas to a bowl. Add salt, tahini, and lemon juice, and mix well.

Adjust the amount of lemon juice, tahini, and salt to taste and as needed for the desired consistency.

If the hummus is too thin, add a bit more tahini to thicken it.
