Ingredients

  1. 10 ozStrawberries in syrup
  2. 6 cupWater
  3. 3Family sized tea bags
  4. 1/2 cupGranulated sugar
  5. 6 ozFrozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  6. 1Fresh mint sprigs
  7. 2 literSparkling water, chilled
  8. 1Fresh strawberries, sliced for garnish

Steps

  1. 1

    In blender or processor, process thawed strawberries until smooth. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the tea bags, cover and remove from the heat. Let steep for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Remove the tea bags without squeezing them. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. Stir in the limeade and strawberry purée.

  4. 4

    Pour the tea into a 2quart container and add mint if desired.

  5. 5

    Let cool.

  6. 6

    Remove the mint and chill

  7. 7

    When ready to serve, pour the tea into a punch bowl large enough to handle the tea plus the sparkling water. Loosely add the sparkling water. Serve over ice. If desired, add sliced strawberries to the bowl or each glass for garnish.
