This is the only chicken noodle soup I really enjoy. For years my dad made this without a recipe until I asked him to write it down.

This is the only chicken noodle soup I really enjoy. For years my dad made this without a recipe until I asked him to write it down.
Cooking Instructions

Place chicken in a large stew pot or crockpot. Cover with water and add salt. Bring to boil.

Turn heat off and let sit for an hour. Remove bones with a slotted spoon or tongs. If need be let the pot simmer to remove meat.

Season to taste; add onion, celery, celery seed, and chicken seasoning. Bring to a simmer.

Add carrots and cook till tender. Add noodles and simmer for another 10-15 mins. Until tender.

The bones and the meat from the bones seem to just go to waste when you make roast chicken or turkey...Shave the meat from the bones and return it to the soup in Step 3. Adding wine (or sake) in Step 4 gives the soup a mild and tasty flavor. For 4 servings. Recipe by meg115
