Ingredients

  • 2 tbspolive oil
  • 2 clovecrushed garlic
  • 1onion chopped
  • 2tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tbsptomato paste
  • 2 cupsalted water from the pasta
  • 1 tsphot pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tspcinnamon
  • 1/2 tspfreshly ground pepper
  • 1 packagesfarfalle (bow-tie pasta)
  • 1Water for boiling the pasta
  • 3 tbspcanola oil
  • 3 tbspsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil water with 3 tablespoons canola oil.

  2. 2

    As soon as it starts boiling add three tablespoons of salt then add the pasta.

  3. 3

    In a saucepan add the olive oil with chopped onions, stir until soft add a pinch of salt, then add the garlic and stir

  4. 4

    add chopped tomatoes on top, then the water from the boiled pasta

  5. 5

    Add the black pepper, the pepper flakes, oregano and salt

  6. 6

    let it simmer on low heat until the tomatoes and onions are nicely cooked

  7. 7

    Drain the pasta and add the sauce on top.
