Sort and rinse the lentils, then place them in a pot with water and bring to a boil.

Add a little salt. When the lentils are almost cooked, add the rinsed bulgur.

Cook until the bulgur is tender and the water is absorbed. Meanwhile, sauté the onions in olive oil until golden. Add some of the oil to the mujadara, turn off the heat, and garnish the top with the sautéed onions.
