  • 3 sliceDay-old challah bread
  • 2Apples, peeled, quartered
  • 6 eachEggs
  • 3 cupWhole milk
  • 2 tbspBrown sugar
  • 1 tspVanilla extract
  • 2 tspGround cinnamon
  • 1/2 tspGround nutmeg
  • 1/4 tspSalt
  • 1Maple syrup

    Place challah in a food processor (Bowl for ninja) and pulse until roughly chopped. Set aside

  2. 2

    Place apples in a food processor (ninja bowl) until chopped

  3. 3

    Place eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in food processor (ninja bowl- level 2) and blend.

  4. 4

    Place bread pieces into a lightly buttered 9x13-in baking dish and layer the chopped apples over the bread. Pour egg mixture over every. Cover and refrigerate for 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake casserole for 40-45 minutes, until eggs are set and top is lightly golden. Serve drizzled with maple syrup.
