dissolve yeast in warm water. In a large bowl or bowl of mixer combine hot water,sugar,salt, oil and one cup of the flour. Beat well with a wooden spoon or if using mixer, the dough hook attachment. Stir in dissolved yeast. Add remaining flour mixing well until blended.

Leave spoon or dough hook in batter, allowing dough to rest for 10 minutes. Stir again vigorously, allowing dough to rest another 10 minutes. Repeat until dough has been stirred 5 times.

On a floured board , turn out dough and knead once or twice until lightly covered in flour. Roll dough into a 9x12 inch rectangle. Starting at the long edge roll up loosley like a jelly roll, sealing the edge.

Place roll seam side down on a large baking sheet.

Gash top of loaf diagonally with a sharp knife 3 or 4 times, then brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.

allow to rise 30 minutes. Bake at 400°F for 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
