Ingredients

2 to 3 people
  1. 250 gBaby Potatoes(12 to 15 nos.)
  2. 1 tbspMustard Oil
  3. 1/2 inchCinnamon
  4. 2Cloves
  5. 1Green Cardamom
  6. 2 tspKashmiri Chilli Powder
  7. 1/4 tspDry Ginger Powder
  8. 1.5 tspRoasted Fennel Seeds Powder
  9. 1 pinchBlack Pepper Powder
  10. 4 tbspCurd
  11. 1 tspBesan/Chickpea Flour
  12. 3/4 tspSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Scrub the potatoes. Boil them. Peel off the skin. Fry them in oil. Poke holes on the potatoes.

  2. 2

    Whisk curd. Add besan/chickpea flour and chilli powder. Whisk till they combine well.

  3. 3

    Heat oil. Add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. Saute.

  4. 4

    Add in the curd mixture. Cook on low flame with constant stirring.

  5. 5

    Add the potatoes. Mix well.

  6. 6

    Mix in the ginger powder, fennel powder, pepper powder and salt.

  7. 7

    Add 1/2 cup water. Cook closed on low flame for about 5 mins.

  8. 8

    Offer Dum Aloo along with roti to Lord Sri Krishna. Honor Krishna Prasadam.
