Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 mediumorange pepper
  2. 1 1/2 mediumyellow pepper
  3. 2/3 mediumred onion
  4. 2 candiced Chipotle and basil tomatoes
  5. 2 cantomato paste
  6. 1 cantomato juice
  7. 1 lbground beef or turkey burger
  8. 1/4 cupchili powder
  9. 2 1/2 tspbasil
  10. 2 tspgarlic and herb seasoning
  11. 3/4 cupsour cream
  12. 1 tbspvegetable oil
  13. 1 1/4 cupwhite rice

  1. 1

    chop peppers and onion and cook over stove with basil and vegetable oil( do not overcook, a little bit of crunch gives the overall chili a great texture)

  2. 2

    cook ground beef or turkey burger til browned, seasoning to desired flavor

  3. 3

    combine all canned ingredients, burger, and vegetables in pot

  4. 4

    place pot on stove set to low, cover, and stir occasionally

  5. 5

    if you have minute rice place in pot with combine ingredients, if you have organic rice bring to a boil then add to mixture

  6. 6

    when the mixture starts to boil add sour cream, stir for 2 minutes

  7. 7

    recover pot until chili is of desired temperature, then reduce heat and serve

I stay active with many different hobbies and activities but one of my favorites is to create unique and homemade foods. I think there is a special authenticity that cannot be replaced by any restaurant when your meals are homemade. I believe thats how it should be...we don't appreciate the simple things in life like wholesome goodness and family traditions.
