Cooking Instructions
- 1
For this treat you need to move fast. Why ?? Pastry puff is a dough that warms up quick a stretches out fast. Make sure to have everything ready to go when making this.
- 2
Pre-heat your oven to 350°F, have your cookie sheet ready with butter. Put the clothes pins in a zip lock bag with flour, just enough to coat them, this prevents the dough from sticking to the wooden pins.
- 3
Take your pastry sheet and with a pizza cutter, cut them in strips of 3.5 - 4 inches long and 1 inches in width. Don't over work the dough.
- 4
Once you have cut them in strips, take your wooden clothes pins and begging to wrap them. It's a little tricky, they can't be to tight or to loose. I usually start from the top, one thumb on the top of the pin and wrap it around and pull the dough gently. So their same size of the pins.
- 5
After you have wrap them all place on the sheet at least an inch of space between them, brush them with the egg wash. Put a pinch of sugar on each one. Bake until golden brown around 15-20 min.
- 6
While baking you can make you pudding, or have it done before you start. Once the pastry is done take them out of the clothes pine slowly. It's better to take them out while warm it's much easier, but be very cautious!!! The pins can be steaming hot !!!
- 7
Once they are cooled completely. You can take filling (pudding) place it pipe bag, and start filling the clothes pins. Do this process gently or they will break on you. Once there all filled. Take the powder sugar and dust them with. As soon as you do that serve and enjoy
- 8
Serving depends on the pastry puff.....I usually go to a local bakery where they sell a big sheet for $2.75 and I get about 40 in that one sheet

Learning new baking recipes/techniques is one of my goals for 2025. I’ve always wanted to make choux pastry, but it seemed intimidating. However, once I tried it. I realized that as long as I was patient and followed specific instructions, I could attain success! 🤩It helps to have a good recipe, and this one comes from Natasha‘s Kitchen. She also has an instructional video on YouTube, which I found to be quite helpful. As a side note, I recently finished watching the first 2 seasons of the anime “Mashle.” The main character loves cream puffs, so this was another reason I had to try this recipe! 🤣#january2026 #newyear2025 #French #pastry #baking #sweet #dessert #special Chris Gan -

So you can imagine how many years I’ve been making it!!I usually make it in the form of a “coca” (a flat pastry), but this time, since I was bringing dessert to a friend’s house and there were going to be quite a few of us, I made individual portions!Come on, give them a try if you’re having lunch or dinner with friends or family… You’ll definitely impress everyone! Strawberry Heart Creme Puffs Strawberry Heart Creme Puffs
I wanted to make a pastry with a rich taste using eggs. Cool them well and enjoy! You'll be tempted to open the oven midway through baking, but absolutely do not do it! For those of you who enjoy a harder puff, change the cake flour to strong bread flour. It'll be even better if you use powdered sugar that isn't moist. For about 8~10 heart shapes. This is a recipe I finally came up with after many repeated failures. In step 3 if you don't properly heat the flour it won't expand later!Adding milk gives the dough it's well-defined feel.If you don't put in the cream right before eating, then it'll become soft! When making these as a present, prepare the cream and the dough separately, and put the cream in right before eating. That's best! Recipe by Wagamamamusume. cookpad.japan -
