Chicken skewer made with coconut milk is a quick and absolutely delicious appetizer for chicken lovers. Can be made within minutes and tastes so good.... nothing can beat this. If you are in a hurry and want something really yummy with minimum labor, then this recipe is just for you :) You just need some coconut milk and the other ingredients needed are very common. Generally available in any kitchen. I have used fresh coconut milk. But you can use canned coconut milk if you prefer.

Ingredients

  1. 500 gramschicken breast
  2. 1/4 cupthick coconut milk
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. For marinade
  5. 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  6. 1 tablespoonlime juice
  7. 1/2 tablespoonoil
  8. 1 tablespoonginger-garlic paste
  9. 4-5 tablespoonsoil for cooking
  10. 1/2 teaspoonred chilli powder
  11. 1/2 teaspoongaram masala powder
  12. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  13. 1/2 teaspoonfreshly crushed black pepper
  14. 1 tablespooncoriander powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Give it a good mix. Cover and refrigerate for 1/2 an hour.

  2. 2

    While the chicken is marinating, soak the skewer sticks in water.

  3. 3

    Thread the chicken strips onto the skewer one by one.

  4. 4

    Heat a non-stick pan. Add a tablespoon of oil.

  5. 5

    Place the skewers on the hot pan. Do not overcrowd the pan.

  6. 6

    Cook on medium heat, for 10 to 15 minutes or until they turn slightly golden brown. Turn them in between to cook each side.

  7. 7

    Serve them hot with some sliced onion rings.
