Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 8 pieceDried lentils dumpling
  2. 1 -1/2 tbspMustard paste
  3. 2 tbspMustard oil
  4. 1 tspspice mixture
  5. 1Dry red chilli
  6. as per tasteSalt
  7. 1 pinchTurmeric powder
  8. 3 tbspTurmarind pulp
  9. 1Green chilli
  10. 1 cupWater
  11. 1/2 tspSugar

Steps

15minutes
  1. 1

    Heat e pan, add dried lentils dumplings and fried about 2minutes in low flame.

  2. 2

    Remove the dumplings from the pan and add mustard oil.

  3. 3

    Add five spices mixture, (panchforon) and dry red chilli. Then add mustard paste, turmeric powder and salt as per taste.

  4. 4

    Cook it for 2minutes and add dried lentils dumplings, saute it.

  5. 5

    Then add water for boiling the dumplings.

  6. 6

    After boiled the dumplings, add termarind pulp, sugar, one green chilli and cook it for 2minutes.

  7. 7

    The dried lentils dumplings with sour gravy is ready to be served with rice.
