Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupMoongdal
  2. 1/4 tspTurmeric Powder
  3. 2 cupsAny Greens of your choice(tightly packed)
  4. 4Green Chilli
  5. 2 tspSambar Powder
  6. 1Tomato(quartered)
  7. 1.25 tspSalt
  8. 1 tbspOil/Ghee
  9. 1/2 tspMustard Seeds
  10. 1/4 tspAsafoetida Powder/Hing
  11. 7Curry Leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Pressure cook moong dal for 1 whistle along with 1 cup water, green chilly, sambar powder and tomato.

  2. 2

    Cook the greens in 3/4 cup water.

  3. 3

    Add the cooked moongdal to the greens. Mash with a potato masher.

  4. 4

    Heat oil. Pop up mustard. Add in hing & curry leaves.

  5. 5

    Add the seasoning to the mashed greens.

  6. 6

    Offer Keerai Masiyal to Lord Sri Krishna. Honor Krishna Prasadam.
