For oats pakwan : mix all the ingredients and Knead to a semi soft dough and make small balls of the dough..

Roll them circles and prick with a fork..

Fry in hot oil til the pakwans are crisp and golden..

Method for chana dal: In a pressure cooker take the chana dal and 2 to 2.5 cups water.

Pressure cook for 2-3 whistles..

In another pan, heat oil or ghee..crackle the cumin first and then add the green chilli and saute for a min..

Add curry leaves and hing saute for a min.pour this sautéed mixture along with the oil in the dal..

Serve with accompanied with some chopped onions,coriander leaves and papad..
