75 gsoft margarine
75 gbrown sugar
1egg
150 gself-raising
100 gchocolate chips
few drops of vanilla essence(optional)

Pre heat the oven to 180°C/365°F or gas mark 4

Cream together the margarine and the sugar

Beat in the egg to the margarine and sugar and the vanilla essence if using
4

Stir in the flour and chocolate chips
5

Place in small spoonfuls on a greased or lined baking trays
6

Back in the oven for 10-15 minutes
