Eid Kahk (Egyptian Butter Cookies)

Combine the flour, yeast, kahk flavoring, salt, and sesame seeds in a large bowl.

Heat the clarified butter or ghee very well until hot and fragrant.

Pour the hot butter directly over the flour mixture, stirring constantly.

Gradually add the warm milk as needed to form a dough.

Knead the dough thoroughly until smooth.

Cover and let the dough rise for 2 hours.

Divide the dough, fill and shape as desired.

Bake in the oven until golden.
