Steps

Soak almonds and cashews in hot water for an hour.

Rinse and soak rice for an hour.

Strain water from rice, place it on kitchen towel & let it dry.

Remove skin of almonds.

Grind almonds and cashews to fine powder.

Add 1/2 lt water to this, mix well and strain. Our vegan milk is ready.

Boil this milk over low flame.

Take a little portion of this hot milk, soak saffron strands in it.

Grind rice to fine powder.

Add powdered rice to boiling milk. Add sugar. Mix well and stir continuously for 5-7 minutes over low flame.

Add cardamom powder, mix well.

Vegan Phirni is ready. Allow it to cool, garnish with saffron and pista or dry fruits of your choice and serve.
