Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsfine bulgur, soaked in warm water (about 340 grams)
  2. 1/2 poundground beef (about 225 grams)
  3. Kibbeh spices
  4. Salt and pepper
  5. For the filling:
  6. 1 poundground beef (about 450 grams)
  7. 2onions, finely chopped
  8. Salt and pepper
  9. 1 tablespoonchili powder
  10. Mixed spices, to taste
  11. Pine nuts

Steps

    Grind the soaked bulgur together with the ground beef using a meat grinder.

    Add the kibbeh spices, salt, and pepper to the bulgur and beef mixture.

  3. 3

    For the filling, sauté the onions in a skillet with 1 tablespoon clarified butter and a drizzle of olive oil until golden.

  4. 4

    Add the ground beef to the onions and cook with the spices and chili powder until done.

  5. 5

    In a separate skillet, toast the pine nuts with 1 tablespoon clarified butter, then add them to the beef mixture.

  6. 6

    Shape the kibbeh, fill them with the meat mixture, and fry until golden brown.

  7. 7

    Serve with tabbouleh, pastries, or salads as desired.

  8. 8

    You can store them in the freezer or refrigerator until ready to use.
