Steps

First wash and drain rice.. keep aside.. now take a vessel pour oil and ghee to it..let boil and fry onions(optional) and keep aside.. Add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and bay leaf..as per the measures mentioned..

Add close to 4 cups water (reduce water if rice is not drained completely)..let boil..

Now add drained rice to it.. Add salt to taste.. stir and let it cook..

Once Ghee rice is cooked Garnish with fried onions, cashews and raisins (optional)..
