  • 1/2 cupurad dal
  • 1/2 cupchana dal
  • 1/2 cupmasoor dal
  • 1/2moong dal
  • 1/4rice(optional)
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak all dals for 4-5hours or overnight.

  2. 2

    Drain the excess water and grind the dals in small batches.

  3. 3

    Grind to a smooth batter.Let the batter sit for 15mins.

  4. 4

    Add water as required to make a thick pouring consistency batter.Add salt.

  5. 5

    Make dosas in a nonstick griddle or tawa.
