Steps

Wash the dal and soaked for 1/2 hrs.

Take a pressure cooker, add soaked dal,salt, turmeric, chopped tomato and pour 2 glass water.

Let it cook on medium flame for 15 minutes or 3-4 whistle are blown.

Once cooked then make a tadka, heat the ghee in tadka pan.
- 5
Add cumin, red chilli, ginger, garlic and onion. Stir and cook till golden brown colour. Instantly pour this tadka on top of the dal.

Garnish with chopped coriander and serve roti or rice.
