Mix all the ingredients of besan cheela ina bowl and make a pouring consistency batter with the help of water. Keep it aside for few minutes

Mix all the ingredients of filling in a mixer and churn them roughly. Take a pan and pour oil in it and cook the masala for 2 minutes

Now heat a tawa and clean it as we clean it for Dosa

Put some oil in it and pour 1 tbsp besan batter to make cheela

Spread oil towards the edges and slow down the flame and cover it. After 2 minutes it will come out of the tawa. Put masala filling in the center and fold it from both the sides. Now turn it and cook it for 2 minutes or until it gets brown colour. Cheela is ready

For gravy heat a pan put oil in it. Crackle jeera and put finely chopped onions. Sauté them until they get translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 2-3 minutes. After that put tomato purée and mix well

Add dry masalas and cook until the mixture leaves the oil

Now cut cheela in pieces and add into the gravy. Pour 1 glass of water and cover pan.after 5/7 minutes your cheela sabzi is ready to serve.

It is also called vegetarian fish because it looks like it. Garnish it with some fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati
